This picture from Bandhavgarh sends shivers down my spine each time I look at it. But it also reminds me of the pure air, sounds of leaves and streams and the smell of soil of the jungle.
Understanding the behavioural tendencies of this dominant species is very exciting, following their pugmarks even more and watching them hunt their prey is an out of the world experience.
Ohh and did I mention ending the day with friends by the side and beer on the table? Getting high on life so unavoidable in Bandhavgarh 😉
Couchsurfing is a lot more than just staying with the locals for free. It enriches your soul deeply with the generosity you receive from most of the pseudo-strangers. I write pseudo-strangers because the moment you see them, you discover a new friend.
It is an awesome feeling to have a home to yourself everywhere in the world, to travel the untouristic way, to party with the locals where they do and to share cuisine and culture. Couchsurfing changed me as a person and it is slowly but definitely making this world a better place 🙂
Cheers to Franzi and her friends for one such experience in Vienna.
